J. GRAVES THEUS, JR.

J. Graves Theus, Jr. is a fourth generation Louisiana lawyer with deep roots in the community. His practice focuses on business/estate planning and litigation.  He received an LL.M. in Tax from Boston University School of Law in 1997, after graduating, cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1996.  He is AV® PreeminentTM Peer Review Rated in Martindale-Hubbell with over twenty years of experience helping individuals and businesses with complex estate and business matters.

ANNA THEUS

As Office Administrator of Theus Law Offices, Anna Theus maintains all aspects of office services, including operations and procedures, client accounts and case files, attorney’s professional requirements and schedules, and support staff supervision.  Anna also provides paralegal support to our legal team and office staff.

Anna earned her B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, in 1990, and her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1997.

Prior to joining Theus Law Offices, Anna was director of St. James Episcopal Day School from 2004-2013.  Anna has also worked with the Rapides Child Advocacy Center as a child interviewer and taught Early Childhood Education courses as an Adjunct Professor at Louisiana State University at Alexandria.

Anna is originally from Washington, D.C. and New Jersey, and has lived in Alexandria for 17 years.  She and her husband, attorney Graves Theus, have four children, Susannah, James, Eliza and Cullen.  When she’s not at work, Anna enjoys reading and running.

JAIME HAILEY

With over twenty-five years of experience, Jaime Hailey is Theus Law Offices’ senior paralegal and drafting coordinator.  Jaime provides support to our legal team as well as our office staff.  Her legal experience includes and Estate and Probate matters, Insurance Defense, Family Law and Real Estate Law.

Jaime attended Northwestern State University and Louisiana State University at Alexandria.

Jaime is originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana and has lived in the Alexandria area for over twenty years.  She has two beautiful daughters, Kelsey and Hannah.  Outside of work, Jaime enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and enjoying time outdoors.

LIZETTE SMITH

As Funding Coordinator of Theus Law Offices, Lizette Smith works closely with our clients as well as financial advisers and various banking institutions to ensure proper handling of asset reallocation to trusts.

Prior to joining Theus Law Offices, Lizette was the owner of Southern Chic, a local gift and interiors shop.  She has previous legal experience working in both Class Action and  Personal Injury law firms here and in New Orleans.

Lizette is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Lizette is originally from New Orleans and has lived in Alexandria for the past fourteen years with her husband, Allen Smith a criminal defense attorney.  Outside of work, Lizette enjoys visiting her hometown, hiking, cooking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.

SAMANTHA ROBERTS

As Client Services Coordinator, Samantha helps clients and staff through the estate planning process — from start to finish.  Some people call her the “cruise director.”  She is the primary point of contact for all client matters and communications and coordinates all client meetings.  She works closely with the legal team to ensure all matters are completed efficiently.

Before joining Theus Law Offices, Samantha worked in banking for seven years, home health for one year, and was a stay-at-home mom for one year.

Samantha married her junior high sweetheart, Justin, and together they have three beautiful children, Anastasia, Jaron, and John Norman. They live in Grant Parish and enjoy spending time with their families and fishing on the weekends.

Dayna M. Ryan

DAYNA MICHELLE RYAN

Dayna M. Ryan is Senior Counsel and Managing Attorney for the firm’s Shreveport, LA office, where she practices in the areas of estate planning and asset protection.  She was admitted to the State Bar of Louisiana in 2005 and the State Bar of Texas in 2020.

Dayna was born in Austin, Texas, and grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from the Centenary College of Louisiana with a B.A. in Psychology. She then went on to earn her J.D. at The Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and an LL.M. in Elder Law and Special Needs Planning at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dayna practices extensively in Estate Planning and Probate, in both Louisiana and Texas. Her primary focus has been in the areas of Trusts and estate and gift tax planning. Ms. Ryan also has amassed a great deal of experience in Elder Law, Special Needs Planning, and Oil, Gas and Mineral rights.

Dayna has a particular passion for Special Needs Planning given a sibling with Down’s Syndrome, as well as assisting clients in preserving assets they have spent a lifetime building.

Amy Elizabeth Boudreaux

AMY ELIZABETH BOUDREAUX

Amy E. Boudreaux is Senior Counsel and Managing Attorney for the firm’s Lafayette, LA office, where she practices in the areas of estate planning and asset protection.

Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in English, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and she received her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2005. Amy was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2005 and the Texas State Bar in 2013.  She began her career in the general practice of law and gained litigation and transactional experience in the areas of real estate, family law, personal injury, workers compensation, estate planning, and insurance law.  After her mother was diagnosed with dementia, Amy realized her passion for assisting families with planning for life’s challenges.  This caused her focus to shift from defending insurance companies to protecting families through the estate planning process.

Amy has two children and lives in Youngsville, Louisiana with her husband and their two dogs, Lucy and Anna.
