Graves Theus, Jr. is a fourth generation Louisiana attorney with deep roots in Louisiana.

He received an LL.M. in Tax Law from Boston University School of Law in 1997, after graduating, cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1996. He practiced in Seattle, Washington until 1999, when he joined a prestigious law firm in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was a shareholder there until 2013, when he began his private practice.

Graves is certified by the Louisiana State Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Tax Law, as well as a specialist in Estate Planning and Administration, and is an approved title agent. Graves is also accredited by the Veterans Administration to assist veterans with their pension claims. Graves maintains his bar license in Washington, Alaska, and  Louisiana.

Amy is Senior Counsel in the firm’s Lafayette, Louisiana office. Amy is certified by the Louisiana State Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning and Administration. Her practice focuses on all areas of Estate Planning, asset protection, and tax law where she represents clients in wills, trusts, probate / successions, and estate administration.

Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in English, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and she received her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2005. Amy was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2005 and the Texas State Bar in 2013. She began her career in the general practice of law and gained litigation and transactional experience in the areas of real estate, Estate Planning, family law, personal injury, workers compensation, and insurance law. After her mother was diagnosed with dementia, Amy realized her passion for assisting families with planning for life’s challenges. Since 2013, she has focused her practice on protecting families through the Estate Planning process. Amy maintains her bar license in both Louisiana and Texas.

Clay is the Managing Attorney in the firm’s Monroe, Louisiana office. Clay’s area of expertise focuses on Estate Planning and Asset Protection.

Clay, originally from Natchez, Mississippi, graduated from Vanderbilt University 1988 with degrees in philosophy and psychology, and Louisiana State University law school in 1993.  After five years working for the Department of State, he began a general civil practice in Monroe, focused on estate planning, successions and corporate law.  Clay is admitted in all federal district courts in Louisiana, as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.

Patricia (“Tricia”) is the Managing Attorney for the firm’s Shreveport, Louisiana office. Tricia earned a degree in General Business Administration in 1985 from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She graduated from Louisiana State University law school, and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar, in 1992. She was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1993.

Tricia is a specialist in Estate Planning and Asset Protection. She practiced law as an insurance defense litigator for several years in Louisiana before continuing to practice in Arizona. She served the State of Arizona for ten years as the Director of the Corporations Division of the Arizona Corporation Commission. After helping an elderly friend navigate a complicated estate planning issue, Patricia discovered a passion for helping families preserve their legacies, and she returned to legal practice in the area of estate planning. Patricia maintains her bar license in both Louisiana and Arizona.

As Office Manager, Anna manages our multiple offices and provides support to our team and our clients. Anna is responsible for all the billing and financial services for our firm. Anna is also a Louisiana Notary with statewide jurisdiction. Anna will assist in answering your administrative questions.

Anna earned her B.A. in English from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, and her Ed. M. from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Anna is originally from Washington, D.C. and New Jersey, and has lived in Alexandria for 25 years. She and her husband, attorney Graves Theus, have four children, Susannah, James, Eliza and Cullen.

As Medicaid Coordinator, Vonda helps families navigate the process of Long-Term Care Medicaid Benefits. Vonda has sixteen years of experience, including Long-Term Care Medicaid, Estate Planning, and probate / succession matters. Vonda will assist in answering questions related to Long-Term Card Medicaid.

Prior to joining Theus Law Offices, Vonda was the Executive Assistant for Provider Professional Services.  Vonda also worked as the Accounts Manager in Long-Term Care.

Vonda is from Colfax, Louisiana and a graduate Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science.  She and her husband Ken have two daughters Morgan and Mikayla.  They also have welcomed two beautiful grand-daughters, Emersyn and Averi.

Outside of work, Vonda enjoys helping on the family farm, and spending time with family and friends.

As Marketing Coordinator, Sam is responsible for planning and promoting all of our Estate Planning Seminars and other presentations, from start to finish. This includes attendee communications, guest lists, marketing materials, and hospitality at all events. Sam will assist if you have questions about upcoming events.

As Communication Coordinator, Alaya is responsible for managing communications. She is the primary point of contact for all client communications, from the point of engagement to the completion of the legal matter.  Alaya travels frequently between our multiple offices, while providing support to our attorneys and staff at Theus Law Offices. Alaya will assist in answering scheduling questions and provide client document status updates.

As Client Services Coordinator, Samantha provides support to our clients and our staff. Samantha fields inquiries related to Estate Planning and probate / succession matters. Any changes to a client matter go through Samantha first. Samantha communicates with clients regularly and coordinates all client meetings. Samantha works closely with our legal team and manages all attorney calendars to ensure all matters are completed efficiently. Samantha will assist in answering client communication questions.

Before joining Theus Law Offices, Samantha worked in banking for seven years, home health for one year, and was a stay-at-home mom for one year.

Samantha married her junior high sweetheart, Justin, and together they have three beautiful children, Anastasia, Jaron, and John Norman. They live in Grant Parish and enjoy spending time with their families and fishing on the weekends.

As Funding Coordinator, Lizette works closely with our clients, financial advisers and various banking institutions to ensure proper integration of trust assets. As part of the funding process, Lizette handles recording of all real estate transactions associated with client Estate Planning. Lizette will assist in answering questions related to funding.

Prior to joining Theus Law Offices, Lizette was the owner of Southern Chic, a local gift and interiors shop.  She has previous legal experience working in both Class Action and  Personal Injury law firms here and in New Orleans.

Lizette is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Lizette is originally from New Orleans and has lived in Alexandria for the past fourteen years with her husband, Allen Smith a criminal defense attorney.  Outside of work, Lizette enjoys visiting her hometown, hiking, cooking, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.

As Marketing Coordinator, Kimmie is responsible for planning and promoting all of our Estate Planning workshops and other presentations from start to finish, including guest lists, attendee communications, materials, slides, and hospitality at all of our locations.

Before joining the TLO team, Kimmie worked in collections, customer relations, as well as memorial graphic designing.

Kimmie is a Grant Parish resident and has 3 amazing boys, Preston, Braxton, & Wyatt. Outside of work Kimmie enjoys cooking, singing, fishing, & making memories with her friends and family.

As Communication Coordinator, Lakyn is responsible for client services and frequently travels between our multiple offices. Lakyn is responsible for all client communications from point of engagement to completion of the legal matter.  Lakyn also provides support to all attorneys as well as staff at Theus Law Offices.

Lakyn has experience in front desk services as well as grant writing services.

Lakyn lives in Grant Parish with her fiancé and three dogs.

In her spare time, Lakyn rescues any animal she comes across and loves to spend time with her friends and family. She is the favorite aunt to all of her nieces and nephews!
